If your looking for some serious speed then you won’t be able to find it because this thing moves way to fast.

HPI have pulled all the strings on Pulse 4.6 Buggy. First off lets look at the car visually, the plastic casing supplied to cover the car looks `badass’ indeed but once that is removed we can see how well the car is designed and built. Everything mechanically is machined and put together superbly and the layout on the chassis is very smart. The spoiler also helps the car look very dramatic and whichever side or angle you view the car at, you can see lots of eye candy!

The Pulse 4.6 Buggy is a nitro RC car. Running at a whopping 4.6cc this engine screams. The nitro fuel needed is 20-25% due to it’s huge engine. It’s also a 4WD, has an aluminium chassis, large flywheel opening allows rocks to exit chassis, fully adjustable suspension, special fibre brake pads, adjustable steel turnbuckles, easy-access diff cases, extreme steering angles, no e-clips, durable 4-gear diffs and much much more. So as you can see this car is packed to top and beyond with features and these features are top spec.

Making adjustments and tuning the HPI Pulse 4.6 Buggy was relatively easy due to the clean easy to understand design.

Now lets talk performance and racing. All you really need to know is this thing is fast. It has an insane amount of torque and an utterly amazing suspension system on all 4 wheels making hills and wet terrains a breeze. The acceleration is also very impressive with it’s jetting off insanely `quick trick’. But steering was one thing I thought this car would let itself down on, it turns out that it excels at steering even on really wet terrains it makes tight turns look easy. The HPI Pulse 4.6 Buggy is a speed demon!

I said about how well this car is built earlier on but it gets really tested when thrown into walls, trees, hills ect. I have to say that it’s pretty resilient which always a good thing where RC cars are concerned. I have put this thing through way to much and it coped with the pressure just fine. The suspension really kicks in well with some extreme high up landings which would damage many other RC cars in the same tier as this.

Overall this is a fantastic RC RTR car. The HPI Pulse 4.6 is perfect for those who love doing this as a hobby or for those who are thinking about getting into it especially with the cars easy set up process, controls and build quality being top notch. Not to forget how much fun you will have with it, from jumping to racing and all the way to pulling off tricks. The HPI Pulse 4.6 buggy is definitely worth putting on your Christmas lists.

Expensive, but worth it, 28 Oct 2010

This is far from being the cheapest head torch in the market, but it is certainly one of the best. The weight is reasonable, not as light as some modern head torches, but incomparably better than the sort of thing we were using 10 years ago, which took four type D batteries and ran out in a few minutes. If you use the LED option on this one it will last for ages.

It is supposed to be waterproof to 5 metres. I haven’t tested this, but I do know that it keeps going in the rain, and can certainly withstand a few minutes immersion in a pond if you accidentally drop it.

If your work, like mine, sometimes involves being out at night and you want something you can rely on, and which leaves both hands free, then I recommend this torch wholeheartedly. If you only want a head torch for casual use something cheaper will probably do the job.

50 x 100w light bulbs, 1 Feb 2011

was really pleased with the quick delivery and packaging was excellent. However when i opened the box description advertised maxim light bulbs so thought i was getting a good bargain. But were not the make as advertised and looked rather cheap and cheerful.

cant imagine them lasting long.

Very quick delivery and very well packeged in a box with lots of bubble wrap around it. I thought they might get damaged in transit, but no: they work fine (I tested a few…). These are much better than the so-called eco-friendly lightbulbs (remember they contain mercury, a very toxic metal). Clear, bright, strong light which is imediately at full strength hen you switch them on. No phasing in, it’s the real thing. And a very good price: they cost £1 each in the high street if you can find them, which is becoming very difficult.

Good quality sunglasses that look much more expensive than they really are. There are oakleys that cost much more than this but don’t seem any better.

Sexy Glasses ready for action., 3 July 2009

These are great looking sun glasses. My girlfriend says they look great on me. Aside from the looks they are great for action sports as they are tight fitting. I have been mountain biking and running in these sunglasses and they never feel like they are going to fall off.

Shoei comfort and quality, 16 April 2010

This helmet proves once again that a Shoei is the best you can buy. I have a Multitec flip front also and you cannot tell which one you are wearing at the time (Multitecs are much more expensive than the XR1000). This helmet has a very comfortable lining and the quality really shows over other brands for the same price. This helmet is comfortable from the first wearing and only gets better. It is light and looks good also. I would not trust any other brand as I do Shoei. They are the best and this helmet could not be better for the price.

A must have tool for Electricians, 22 May 2011

I’ve used head lamps before but never found the right one for close up electrical work. The Petzl PIXA 1 has changed all that. The LED and diffuser provide a uniform light which is perfect for close up work. The head strap is comfortable and the robust build and positive switch means you can store the lamp in your tool bag without accidentely switching the lamp on or damaging the lens.Its a must have for Electricians or any other trades that finds themselves needing hands free, close up work in bad lighting conditions.
